This policy explains how Bhatti Brothers Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with the NTM Tracking mobile application and its fleet administration services. Bhatti Brothers Ltd is a trucking carrier and brokerage company registered in Calgary, Alberta.
1. Who the app is for
NTM Tracking is for authorized company drivers. Company administrators issue driver accounts. The app is not designed for children or public account registration. This policy is available without signing in.
2. Information we handle
- Driver and account information: driver name, username, contact phone number, driver identifier, assigned unit or vehicle information, account status and account creation details. Account credentials are used for authentication; server-side passwords are stored as hashes.
- Location and movement information: precise GPS latitude and longitude, timestamp, and available speed, heading, accuracy and altitude. Recorded locations may also include an associated address and tracking status. Location records are associated with the driver account.
- Local app data: authentication/session information, tracking state and queued location updates may be stored on the device to operate the app and retry delivery.
- Support and technical information: information you provide when requesting assistance, and technical records needed to operate and protect the service. Hosting infrastructure may record connection information such as IP addresses and request times.
3. When location is collected
Location is used to show your position and, when you start tracking, record and send updates to the company fleet system. Background permission enables updates while the app is not on screen, including when the device is locked. On iPhone, force-quitting the app stops background updates; reopening can resume an active tracking session. Operating-system restrictions, permissions, GPS and connectivity affect availability.
You can stop sharing through Stop Tracking and control permissions in device settings. Withdrawing permission or uninstalling the app does not delete information already delivered to our systems. Previously queued updates may be delivered when connectivity returns.
4. Why we use information
We use information to authenticate drivers, administer accounts and vehicle assignments, provide fleet location visibility, review recorded routes and location history, coordinate operations, resolve support issues, protect the service, and meet applicable legal or compliance obligations. Location collection is tied to driver identity; it is not anonymous.
5. Who may receive information
Authorized company personnel can access information needed for fleet administration and operations. Service providers that host or support our systems may process information on our behalf. We may disclose information when legally required or as reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats or legal claims. We do not sell driver personal information or use driver location for targeted advertising.
If you choose to open a location in an external map service, the selected coordinates are provided to that service. Its own privacy terms apply. Installing or updating the app through Apple or another platform is also subject to that platform’s policies.
6. Storage and international processing
Information is processed through our application, server and database infrastructure and supporting service providers. Depending on provider arrangements, information may be processed outside Alberta or Canada and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Contact us for questions about our current processing arrangements.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of operational needs, applicable law, dispute resolution and security. A location-history display period is not a promise that older records have been deleted. This policy does not promise an automatic deletion interval.
You may request account closure or deletion. We will verify the request and explain any information that must be retained and the applicable reason. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until their normal lifecycle completes.
8. Security
We use safeguards such as authenticated access, encrypted network transmission and hashed server-side passwords to protect information. No electronic service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
9. Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or account closure, and to ask questions or raise a privacy concern. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and identity verification. Do not send your password or verification codes. See our account and data request instructions.
If you have questions about workplace tracking requirements, discuss them with your company administrator. Phone permissions remain under your control.
10. Policy changes
We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The updated policy and date will be published here. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
